About the artist

CHEN CHING CHIH
Jing-Chih Chen combines painting and glass art (specifically, liuli or glass art) in a unique way, taking viewers on a captivating artistic journey through her series The Little Red Riding Hood and Animal Play....
In Jing-Chih Chen's works, personal emotions and her inner world take center stage. She deeply understands that, no matter the age, every woman has an inner little girl, a symbol of innocence, simplicity, and dreams. This perspective runs through her entire artistic series, giving her works a deep emotional resonance. She merges this pure, inner feeling with the symbolic meanings of animals—beasts from mythology, legends, and fables—which represent various emotions and messages such as healing, care, protection, humor, and playfulness.
Jing-Chih Chen's creativity is not only reflected in her themes but also in her innovative integration of painting with glass art. This fusion adds a unique texture and depth to her works. She is unafraid to experiment with new materials, constantly exploring different possibilities. Her creative process is fueled by wild imagination, returning to intuition and primal instincts to explore new connections and create an unfamiliar and stunning imaginary world
